October Favorite Things

erinreinholtz

Fall season brings us beautiful color, golden light, and crisp air but also means things get a little more dry. So this is when I start bringing more moisturizing products into my self care. This month’s favorite things includes those and some other things that make my days a little brighter.

The links here are affiliate links, which means if you choose to buy the product using my links, I'll get a tiny bonus at no cost to you. This helps support my artwork and my family, so thank you for using my links!

Here are the favorite things I want to share with you this month:

My hair gets dry in the fall and winter, and a couple drops of this oil really helps! I put it in my hands and rub together, smooth it onto my towel-dried hair, and then blow dry. The one little bottle has lasted me over a year so far!

If you (like me) have ever noticed yourself trying bathroom products only to have a bunch of partially-used containers everywhere, you might appreciate that I actually used this up completely last year! I don’t like having a lot of things in my bathroom, so I try to find what I actually use and stick with just that. This scrub is a keeper! I do sometimes switch to a different scent, but the Vitamin C is the MOST moisturizer on my skin and smells really nice, too. I use this on my arms and also in place of shaving cream on my legs. You can find it at Target or Ulta, but Amazon has the most variety and sometimes great deals on multi-packs.

I wasn’t a coffee drinker until this year (I still love tea but yeah, I have crossed over to the dark side!). But one thing I really hate is the waste of K-cups. Fortunately, my husband bought these reusable ones an awhile back and has been using them for about six years! They are amazing and save so much money, too. I scoop 1 tablespoon of ground coffee (or Trader Joe’s chocolate hazelnut espresso) into this lil cup, pop it into the Keurig, and it brews up deliciousness with zero problems! PS: mix in some chocolate collagen or Shaklee whey protein powder to make it taste like a mocha while avoiding gross creamer ingredients and sugar-bombing yourself. Yum!

I have a very similar yellow color, and this one is on sale right now. It’s a fun touch of festive Fall for your nails. I also love the other in-season colors available, especially Precious Cargo Go green, the deep blue called Left On Shred, Cold Brew brown, and the sparkly auburn color called Misfit Right In.

For the past month, I’ve worn this in place of my daily sunscreen, and my skin is so happy! It’s not heavy coverage, but it smooths skin tone and feel really light, while providing SPF 30 protection. I am a big fan of Shaklee products in general for the high quality and safety standards (I take their Women’s multivitamin and OmegaGuard and love their Grass-fed Whey Protein Powder (as mentioned above), but this was my first trial of their cosmetics. Highly recommend! If you want to try any of their stuff, my link will remove the membership fee and also take $10 off your purchase of 50: https://get.shaklee.com/3VlPm8t

That's all for today! If you end up purchasing any of these items, I'd love to hear what you think! You can reach out to me via email here.
